Teow Chew Moey (Teow Chew Porridge)

Ingredients
1½ cups (300g) rice, rinsed and drained 8 cups
(1.9 litres) water

Choice of Condiments
Fried egg with soy sauce
Fried anchovies with soy sauce
Chicken floss
Chinese sausage or lap cheong

Others condiments (optional): Pickled mustard, braised peanuts, fermented beancurd, salted egg, chai poh omelette, steam tofu, fried long beans etc Preparation Combine rice and water in a large pot, bring to boil and reduce to medium heat, cook for 15-20 minutes.
